VEENAT 100mg contains Imatinib, a member of a group of medicines called corticosteroids that reduces inflammation. It is indicated to treat chronic myeloid leukemia and Philadelphia-chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia in adults and children. Leukemia is a disease of the blood cells. Blood cells are all different sorts of cells that help us deal with the world around us. The most basic blood cells are the red blood cells, which carry oxygen to our bodies. The white blood cells are soldiers that help us fight off infection. Then there are the platelets, which help us make blood clots when we cut ourselves. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in white blood cells.
