About Spnib 70mg Tablet
The Spnib 70mg tablet is a prescription medicine intended for use in adults and children over one year old diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia. It is a treatment option for Ph+ chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in its chronic phase and Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia in patients who have not responded to other treatments.
Chronic myeloid leukemia is a form of blood cancer characterized by excessive production of white blood cells as a result of a change in the Philadelphia chromosome. This mutation leads to the fusion of the BCR and ABL genes, which code for proteins with tyrosine kinase activity, affecting cell growth, division, and survival.
The most prevalent type of blood cancer in children is acute lymphoblastic leukemia, where the lymphocytes, or white blood cells, experience uncontrolled growth and extended longevity.
